Programma
The course will focus on equality law in European countries. Particular attention will be paid to recent developments in the protection of the right to non discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, disability and sexual orientation at the national level with special regard to the implementation of European directives. The course will explore such issues in a range of contexts, including education, employment and voting in the light of most
significant domestic constitutional case-law as well as through European Court of Human
Rights and European Court of Justice leading cases. The last part of the course will be dedicated to the role of advocacy, lobbying and litigation strategies in combating discrimination.Testi consigliati e bibliografia
