Dellavalle – Principles of Constitutional Law – Module I – Take-home Exam on the 17th of September 2020

Pubblicato: Giovedì 27 agosto 2020 da Sergio Dellavalle

Dear Students,

I hope you are all well.

Hereby I want to inform you that the Module I exam on the 17th of September 2020 will still take place as a take-home exam. More specifically, at 9:00 am (Turin time = GMT + 2) on the above-mentioned day the questions will be uploaded under “Avvisi”. No email will be sent. You will have then time until 9:00 pm (Turin time = GMT + 2) of the same day (the 17th of September 2020) to send me back your text with the answers. The text must be sent in Word format and as an attachment to an email (dellavalle@unito.it). All text sent later than at the above-mentioned time or in a format different than Word will not be taken into account. The exam will consist of four open questions on the contents of Module I. The dimension of your answers, taken together, shall not exceed 1,600 words (that means, approximatively, 400 words per answer, but you can also weight the distinct answers differently). All texts that exceed that dimension will not be taken into account. Each answer weights for a quarter of the final grade, i.e., up to 7.5 points. Obviously, the answers should not be a “copy and paste” of the related parts of the file containing the arguments of Module I. On the contrary, you have to express the answers with your own words. Every form of plagiarism that exceeds 20 % of the submitted text will result in a fail.

On the above-mentioned date only the exam regarding Module I is scheduled. Keep in mind that if you want to take the exam on Module I, you have to pass first Module II and Module III (as for the latter, only in case that you make use of the possibility to submit a research paper on Module III). You have also to write the results in the note while signing in for the exam. If there is no result at least for Module II, or if no result is indicated in the note, your submission will not be considered.

If you have already passed at least the Modules I and II and you want to have your final grade registered, you only have to sign in for the exam – as you usually do for all other exams – and write in the note the scores of the single Modules. The final grade will be registered without you having to take any further step.

In case that you take the exam on Module I as a resit exam, you have to sign in for the exam and write in the note the scores of Module II (and also of Module III in case that you make use of the possibility to submit a research paper on Module III) as well as that it is a resit exam on Module I. The scores of Module I will be the average of the scores of the distinct submissions. The final grade will be registered, then, without you having to do any further step.

Best regards,

Sergio Dellavalle
