Obiettivi formativi
Il corso intende fornire agli studenti gli strumenti per comprendere i fondamenti, le fonti e le istituzioni del diritto nella tradizione hindu e islamica. Ciò permetterà agli studenti di affrontare questioni di attualità, analizzando criticamente eventuali conflitti tra norme religiose, statali e internazionali.
The course aims to provide the students with the tools useful to understanding the history, sources and institutions of law in the Hindu and Islamic tradition. Students will thus be able to deal with contemporary issues and critically analyze potential conflicts between religious, state and international norms.

Al termine dell’insegnamento gli studenti saranno in grado di:
- Comprendere lo sviluppo storico della tradizione giuridica hindu e islamica
- Conoscere l’assetto delle fonti giuridiche tradizionali
- Comprendere le modalità di interazione tra diritti a base religiosa, diritto statale e diritto internazionale, in particolare in relazione al diritto di famiglia
- Comprendere le multiformi questioni legate alla presenza di comunità islamiche e hindu, storiche e nuove, in Europa.
At the end of the course students will be able to:
- Understand the historical development of both the Hindu and Islamic legal traditions
- Know the structure of traditional legal sources
- Understand the interactive dynamics between religious, state and international law, with a specific focus on family law
- Understand the multifaceted issues linked to the presence of Islamic and Hindu communities in Europe
