Obiettivi formativi
The course aims to convey the fundamentals of civil-procedural Italian and European law starting from the Roman experience, developing a critical capacity of the student towards the legal phenomenon considered in historical perspective.

At the end of the course the student should know the legal roman concepts and principles that are the basis of European private law.

The teaching will be given in the classroom with lectures for a total of 40 hours (6 CFU)

The examination will be in written form. The written test will consist of three questions, to complete in one hour.
Final votes will be given in 30 points.

Programma
The course aims at the exposition, in both systematic and historical form, of Roman private law in its development from the monarchic period until the Justinian age. A particular attention will be dedicated to the following thematic sectors:
1) the sources of law;2) roman legal tradition;
3) law of actions;
4) law of persons;
5) law of property and inheritance;
7) law of obligations.
