Obiettivi formativi
The course aims at providing the students with advanced knowledge of EU Labour Law (Part I) and International Labour Law (Part II).
In Part I, due to the specific attention dedicated to the Court of Justice's case law, students will be able to verify the concrete impact of European Union rules on Member States.
In Part II, students will familiarize with the role of the ILO and of core international labour standards.

Students will be requested to know the fundamental contents of EU Labor Law and International Labour Law sources and their concrete impact on national judicial systems. They should be well-equipped to easily understand relevant legal texts and judicial decisions and to analyze their main practical implications.

- face-to-face lessons;

Students attending classes
The exam will consist of class presentations on specific topics and a final exam with multiple choice questions.
Non-attending students
Written exam consisting of questions on Part I (EU Labour Law) and questions on Part II (International Labour Law).

Part I - EU Labour Law (proff. Aimo, Izzi)
The lectures will deal with the following topics:
- The historical evolution of European social policy
- The sources of EU Labour Law
- Individual work relationships: more specifically anti-discrimination law and atypical job contracts.
Part II - International Labour Law (Dott. Giuseppe Casale)
The lectures will deal with the following topics:
- The role of the ILO: its structure and functioning
- The evolution of international labour law: core labour standards
- Ratification and application of international labour standards
- The supervisory mechanism
- The future of international labour law and 2030 Agenda.
