Il seminario si inserisce nel progetto Jean Monnet EU-EAST Dialogues che è attivo presso il Dipartimento di Giurisprudenza dell'Università di Torino.
Sintesi del seminario:
The Seminar covers legal, political and historical dimensions of the War in Ukraine and its impact on Europe and beyond. The course starts with the historical background of the Russo-Ukraine relations and the Russian invasions of Ukraine in 2014 and 2022. Then the course looks at the evolution of the EU relations with Ukraine and Russia after 1991. Also the course highlights the EU’s political, legal and economic response to Russia’s aggression focusing on the application of the EU restrictive measures against Russia. The final part of the course studies the evolution of the EU Common Security and Defense Policy and peacebuilding strategies in and after the war in Ukraine.
