Obiettivi formativi

The course aims at developing the knowledge of the main features of international institutions and some critical skills for a good understanding of interstate institutional cooperation.

Risultati dell'apprendimento attesi

Good knowledge of the essential elements of the law of international institutions.

Modalità di insegnamento

The total duration of the course is 40 hours (6 ECTS).

The different teaching blocks will be organised through a blend of different components:  reading and study materials, video lectures, presentations with vocal comment, streaming lessons, in presence or virtual room  (Webex) sessions for interaction with students, assignments of reaction papers, students’ in presence or online presentations etc.

All the materials will be made available through the teaching platform (Moodle).

A more precise balance of the different components is dependent on the evolution of health restrictions and will be communicated to the students before the commencement of the course.

It is therefore essential and compulsory that all the students enroll in the teaching platform to have full access both to materials, discussions and communications.

The Course will start on Monday 28th September. The first two lectures will be streamed live via Webex on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th from 10 a.m. to 12. Students are warmly invited to join at the following link:

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

  1. Oral exams will take place via video-conference on WEBEX.
  2. Once the deadline for registrations to the exam has expired, registered candidates will receive an e-mail via ‘essetre’, containing the link to the WEBEX meeting.
  3. By registering to the exam, students implicitly accept to take it via video-conference on WEBEX.
  4. The Webex meeting will be launched about 10 minutes before the beginning of the exam, in order to allow students to join the virtual session.
  5. Students must keep the e-mail box under control (possibly on a separate device), to ensure swift communication in the event of net connection problems.
  6. Before the beginning of the exam, the professors check the identity of the candidates. Students must show their ID.
  7. In the event of a high number of candidates, professors will timely communicate a possible alternative schedule for candidates
  8. Bearing in mind the complexity of the management of on-line exams, the students are expected to behave responsibly. Students should NOT sign up for the exam, if they are NOT SURE to take it. If, due to exceptional reasons, it is not possible to attend an exam, to which a student has previously sign in, HE/SHE MUST COMMUNICATE THE WITHDRAWAL via email ( the day before the exam.
